Fucking right, I got into it. Lead singer Jamie handled the stage with grace, weird kicks and some almighty dramatic stage presence. Some wouldn't say VANT and GET INUIT fit, with Jamie clad in black tee, green new balances and a tight black jeans the dorky yet dapper bold frame glasses would throw most VANTAFANS off like a hard disorientating elbow to the face. But no, GET INUIT brought their A GAME with heavy riffs, ripping melodies and honestly live lyrics, the flat jokes and empty threats were just the nail on the perfect head to a great and beautiful warm up. In my opinion they're surely set to blow and I look forward to seeing them at festivals and gigs all over the year.
TIGERCUB
I've lied about liking this band before, let me be honest I heard a song on my spotify suggestions once and I'm more than a hundred percent sure they were played before Slaves came out on one of those warm the crowd up playlists. HERE COME THE REGRETS for not investigating these bad boys thoroughly before going to the show, with a mostly stationery stage presence the Three J's all varying in heights which became every more haunting in the performance of 'Pictures of You' the guitar rang out in church bell fashion shaking me to my core as the song dove into grunge distortion for a moment of noise. The girls next to me knew every word and oh envied them, for my lack of preparation meant I was completely overwhelmed by the kick ass I witnessed, each moment of their set a bite of bad ass head banging beauty. You wont want to let them go, you'll want to screw your A-Levels or part time day job to follow them down dust track roads just to get a little more of their magic. After they're set I called up to say they were amazing and that I liked the bassists Mac DeMarco Tee they were so sweet and humble with their smiling responses that it warmed my *heart emoji* .
VANT WERE INSANE that will come in another review because there was just so much to digest.
peace and luv homies.
